As a national intermediary focused on growing the capacity and impact of the CDFI industry, Partners played a leadership role in supporting the launch of the Community Development Bankers Association in 2001. Today, Partners continues to support the efforts of CDBA through a management services agreement whereby it provides staffing and operations support. CDBA has been and continues to be critically important to the growth of the Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) and mission banking sector. CDFI and mission-focused banks expand access to capital and financial services in low- and moderate-income and economically distressed communities that traditional finance often overlooks.
What CDBA Delivers
- Federal public policy advocacy that advances the CDFI and mission-focused banking sector, educating policy makers on the sector and, most importantly, the needs of communities they serve.

- Market intelligence and performance benchmarking exclusive to member banks
- Connections that guide value-aligned deposits and capital to community lenders
Scale of the Network
CDBA represents certified CDFI and other mission-focused banks and thrifts — dedicated to balancing margin and mission while fueling economic opportunity and financial inclusion.
