Dennis Ammann
CDBA Board Vice Chairman
Dennis is the chief executive officer of Peoples Bank, a CDFI bank founded in Mendenhall, Mississippi, in 1908. Peoples Bank is a nationwide small business lender, utilizing government-guarantee loan programs to better serve rural communities and underserved populations. Peoples Bank is also active in the New Markets Tax Credit and Capital Magnet Fund programs, participating through the bank and its subsidiary, PB Community Impact Fund. Dennis is active in advocacy for mission-oriented banks at the state and local level.
In addition to his role as vice chair of CDBA, Dennis sits on several local and state economic development boards. He has served on the board of Simpson County Economic Development District, the board of Simpson County Community Foundation, and the board of the Mendenhall Sports Club. He also serves as the director of the Simpson County Development Foundation. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi, and is a graduate the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University and the Academy of Professional Banking. He currently serves as chairman of the board of trustees for the Mississippi School of Banking, where he enjoys teaching the next generation of bankers about SBA lending and bank management.
